What a lot of loveliness to look out into early in the morning

The bees especially love the echinaceas, as do the odd butterflies that come to visit. Each year we see fewer and fewer butterflies. Only one lonely Monarch this year so far.

Our new Quince tree is settling well into this bed. Soon we’ll take away a lot of the purple phlox and plant smaller plants here like geranium and calendula.
